RE:The Exhibition of the20th century toy museum |

Toys are always beside children. Toys have grown together with children. Those shape might have changed but they have been always the closest things for children and the means of communication among friends and families. And the toys have been treasure full of dreams for the children. Even for adult the toys once in their hand would have existed as the most precious things in their mind forever. |

We, Japan Toy Culture Foundation, devoting ourselves to study and promote significance and values of toys as the life culture commodities since established, have been having great pleasure to offer “The Exhibition of the 20th Century Toy Museum” in various cities in Japan. |

“Toys, Play and The 20th Century ” as our main theme of the exhibitions, we have been trying to introduce toys that reflect ages as life culture commodities, pleasure of the world of creation and originality, and wishes behinds the toys. |

This project was planned as the first event after the rename of our foundation in April 1999, and it is the fist project conducted in association with wide variety of toy related organizations and corporation in Japan including Japan Toy Association. |

Part of the profit from the exhibitions shall be donated to people in Taiwan who suffered from the earthquake last year and be used for the future of children and toys through Japan Toy Association and Japan Welfare of Children & Families Association” |

It is our hope that this exhibition would offer an opportunity to people of all ages to look back and talk peacefully and pleasantly about the 20th century that experienced a lot of changes. And it is our wish that many people will come to feel that free spirit of toys and play is unchangeable and quite important at any ages. |
